Porto is a heavy and tough city. Reflections of the old and the abandon places get mixed with the modern and the innovative. Since 2000, Porto has become a nicer, more European and enthusiastic place to live. The tourists and students explosion of these last years brought more youth and the meaning of European place. Despite this, oldness has been growing fast, after an European study about the subject. These contrasts of urban atmosphere in Porto make it so interesting and so Portuguese.
There is still so much to be done for Porto... Still we love it! And that is a pretty common and strong statement you will be hearing all over the city.
My project intends to bring some past, some of the nostalgic windows of Portoês cityscape.

More projects like Second Cities are welcome to join cultural meaning, to join people and show that diversity is the great treasure of Europe. The anxious economic period that we are living in a global scale can be reduced by the education of a new mentality.
EU citizens have a great opportunity to share and learn, to be more prepared for a new era, a period of insecurity and economic conflicts but also a great period to gather forces among different cultures. The EU must not forget the past so it can build a great future.
